By using Tessera, you agree to these terms. They are short because the game is simple.
Tessera is a puzzle game. The first 30 levels are free to play. The remaining levels unlock with a one-time purchase, made through your device's app store (Apple, Google) or through Stripe on the web.
When you open the app, we create an anonymous account so your progress syncs across your devices. There is no password. If you lose the device, the anonymous account is lost with it — we have no way to recover it for you because we have no identifying information attached to it.
The full-unlock purchase is a one-time, non-consumable product. It unlocks every current and future level shipped in this version of Tessera on the platform you purchased on. Purchases are handled by the respective app store or payment processor, subject to their own terms. Refunds are handled through the store you purchased from, according to their refund policy.
Don't try to break things. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the engine to bypass the paywall. Don't use the game to harass others — there is no multiplayer or social layer, but please don't try to turn one into one through server exploits.
We do our best to keep Tessera working. Because Tessera is a small game from a small team, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. If the cloud sync is temporarily down, the game continues to work with local progress. If a bug corrupts your save file, please contact support and we will do our best to recover it.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tessera.
You can stop using Tessera and delete your data via Settings → Reset progress at any time. We can terminate access to server features if a user abuses the system in a way that threatens the service for other players.
If we change these terms, we will publish the new version here and bump the date. Meaningful changes will also be shown in-app.
